SHould Two Teens be Tried as Adults for the Brutal Death of a 7 Year-old?
In the case of 7-year-old Zoe, who was killed by her sister, Heather (16), and her boyfriend, Lamar (17), I strongly believe that they should be tried as adults. Both Heather and Lamar brutally killed 7-year-old Zoe while 'practicing' Mortal Kombat moves. The two admitted to violently killing the girl but told police it was an accident. Heather and Lamar both took part in beating the girl. Heather told police that she had punched Zoe in the stomach, arms, punched and pinched her thighs, kicked her in her legs slapped her stomach, poked her in the chest and karate chopped her arms.
While the two teenagers had no actual reason for doing so, it appears that they were practicing Mortal Kombat. Read the rest of the article

American Pit Bull Terriers
'Pit Bulls' are feared by many people. American Pit Bull Terriers have been confused with many other dogs as well, thus any time there is an aggressive dog- they are 'Pit Bulls'. However, while American Pit Bulls Are one of the best tempered dog, they are very powerful so when they do attack it can quickly become critical if not fatal. 99% of all American Pit Bull attacks are from dogs that have been beaten or trained to fight. If the fighters would have trained a Labrador to fight and mistreated them like they have the Pits, then they too, would be feared and have a bad rep. Check out http://APBT.blogspot.com - American Pit Bull Terriers for some great info and the real truth on Pit Bulls. There you will find Heroic stories as well as places to register your Pit Bull and how to know if a Pit Bull would be a good pet for you!

Associated Content vs. Helium
Well, for those of you who have been wanting to know what site pays better here you go. I started writing for Helium about 2 months ago. I have posted about 19 articles with Helium. Off of those 19 articles (4 of which were poems) I have earned less than$0.90. Yea that's right a whole 90 cents! A few weeks later I started writing for Associated Content (AC). Well since then I have resubmitted those 19 articles to AC as well. Out of those 15 articles and 4 poems, to date, I have earned $69. 80 off of about 14 of those articles plus about $5 in page views alone.
I could have made about 30 more but, AC doesn't pay upfront payments for poems but you do get your page views. Another thing was that 4 of my articles did not receive upfront payment because they were 'too popular' do to being posted on Helium. Wheew, I wish I would have known that to start with and I wouldn't have wasted my time with Helium.
Is Helium worth it? Yes and no. If you are writing for a hobbie then Helium is great! It's also a great place to submit your pieces AFTER they have been published on AC. That way you won't have to worry about them being 'too popular'. As for making money at Helium- it can be hard unless you are an expert. You can make tons of money with Helium if you win contest and get chosen by Marketplace which can now pay up to $150. But that's the whole point...if! Since your articles are rated by other writers it can be kinds difficult to get to the top and win contests. One is because everyone has there own opinion on what is good, and then you have your other writers that when the vote, they just click a button and never read which can tip the scales in a not so good direction.
Is AC worth it? YES! Since there is no 'raters' and AC actually has real workers to read them it makes it alot more profitable. AC doesn't go by ratings. They go by qualilty. They actually offer you an amount $3-2o for each article if it is acceptable. To be acceptable it has to be written as you would write for any other company of course, 400 words or more, proper grammer and spelling (if you make a few mistakes it doesn't matter but your offer will be lower), and they do ask that you don't write about something that already has 5 million articles about it. Its very easy to earn with AC. While it does take a 3-4 days usually to get your offer, it's well worth it. You write the article, submit it and with in a few days AC will give you an offer and then once you accept the offer it will take about 2 more days to publish (which means its actually on the internet in a readable form). I would have to say it's well worth it! Check out "My AC" on the right side bar and it will take you to my profile. It will give you an idea of how it works! If you have questions just let me know!

Yewie Update!
Well, as I told you folks earlier, I am trying my luck at Yuwie! So far, so good! It was really easy to set up and get going! I decided to use it to promote my work more than anything and it seems to be doing great so far. I have had several hundred page views in the last 2 days on my Yuwie account!
So far the most beneficial thing that I have found for promoting my AC work is the 'clubs'! Yuwie offers thousands of clubs on just about any topic. If you can't find the topic, create one. I have mainly focused on the poetry, writing, mother/mommy, and AVON clubs. I have noticed that my threads, which I posted links to my work, has been getting lots of pageviews and comments which can only mean one thing! Someone is actually reading my work.
As for the earnings with Yuwie- I am not sure how they will pan out. I know that you get paid on the 10th-15th of each month fro the previous month so since I have only been there for a few days I will have to wait to see how the pay works out. Regardless of how Yuwie pays, I will contiue to use it for the promotion of my work. I do find that it has been very beneficial for that reason! I will update you guys again when I see my first pay day! Wish me luck!

Yuwie
Ok, So in addition to blogspot, I decided to start blogging at Yuwie. I have a myspace account but really didn't care for it. I still have it, just don't really care to keep it updated. I joined Yuwie and I love it. Yuwie is alot like myspace but its ALOT more active. I joined Yuwie and I already have like 50 friends in less then 2 days! It's really cool! Oh...and by the way another thing about Yuwie is that they pay your for page views, pic views, blogs views and just about everything you can think of. You are also paid for your own views as long as you are not double clicking or refreshing which is fair enough. Just thought I would share this info incase someone is looking for a new hangout, new friends, or a way to earn money online! If you would like to Check it out or Join Yuwie by Clicking here!

$381 from AC for one article?
So, as all of you know I write for Associated Content. Well I wrote an article on the Lucky 13 Truck Stop I submitted it on Saturday and then today while online I got an email from AC for an offer on the article. I checked my account and the offer was for $381....omg! I liked to have fell out of my seat here at work! I waited and waited thinking that it was all a big mistake. After considering how well written the article was, that it was a "travel" article, and that there was not another thing about it on the whole internet, I began to believe that it might not be a mistake! Well I checked my account balance and the offer was pending and had been comfirmed but not yet sent. Well here it is 10 hours later and I just got an email from AC stating that there was an offer on that same article....you know what that means write? ....yep they took the $381 back and offered me $3.81 for the article. Well it was nice while it lasted!

Adsense
Ok. So I have decided to go with Adsense by Google on my blog. I will see how it works out. I just started it a few minutes ago and already have started earning a few cents. Adsense allows you to share your site for advertising and googles pays you by impressions and clicks. There are 1000's of adds to choose from they range from a few cents up to $258 (this highest I have seen so far). I am going to try it and see how it works for me. Google pays you for referrals and the company will aslo pay you. Cause of pay varies from just the "clicker" just looking at the site advertised, filling out a form with lead info, to making a purchase. I actually found some of the ads to be beneficial for my readers. I tried to pick most of them that were free games and ring tones! Something that you don't have to sign up for or purchase. (The company then makes money cause you visited their site and saw their ads). As I go along I will be sure to keep you updated on how well it works. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS ABOUT Adsense please feel free to leave them here for others to read! *** If you are interested in putting Adsense on your site to earn money you can get their easily by clicking the grey box to the right! ~~~~>

Untouchable
I seen a poetry topic today titled Untouchable . I set and pondered for a moment and begin to write. How I ended up with such a poem I'm not sure but I realized I was starting to tear up while writing it. If something were to happen to my husband I'm not sure what I would do, as you can tell from Untouchable .

What Would You Do If You Had To Assess a Broken Arm
Ok, forgive me but as a 9-1-1 dispatcher I felt I had to post How To Properly Assess A Broken Arm. You would be amazed at how many people call 9-1-1 when dealing with a broken arm, or any bone for that matter, and have done some crazy things. I have had people call and, while telling them not to splint any injuries, tell me that they have already tied their shirt around the break or have already stuck the arm in ice. OMG! Don't do it! You can end up making things so much worse then they are.
Would I Send My Child Off To War?
I'm really not one to get into politics. While I am not against or for the war, I do find it a touchy subject. My only suggestion would be to pull our troops out and blow the whole damn place up but I know that wouldn't be the answer. To many other innocent people would die. See....that's why I don't get into it! I was asked Would I Send My Child Off To War? Thats what inspired me to write the article Would I Send My Child Off To War? I encourage everyone to read the article and post ANY COMMENTS to the article or this post! I am very interested to see what people think. I look forward to reading your comments!
I Will Not Cry Tonight
Ha...It's hard for me to look back at some of my high school poems, love letters and all the other "But I love him" stuff. I remember being in middle school and high school and as long as you were 'seeing' someone one you were considered to be dating and then if you were together for more than 2 weeks you were in love....and OMG- think back...how many people were you going to marry? LMAO! I so remember like 5 guys that I was so going to marry! Looking back now it's hard to see how I could even kiss them much less marry them! It's so funny when I think back about the guys I dated. Well let me re-phrase that, seeing them. When I was young I would slip up and say something about who was dating who, or who I was dating and my dad would always say..." How are you dating them? ooohhh that's my boyfriend and we talk on the phone, but we ain't never went no where....Hmm looks to me like your talking".
He used to get such a kick out of spying on me while I was on the phone! No matter how bad I hated it then, I can't help but laugh when I think about it now!
Well here is one of those poems that I was talking about. Just thought that I would share it! It sounds like a married couple, seriously in love, hard to believe that I was only 15 and had only be with the guy for about 4 months!

My Life as a 9-1-1 dispatcher!
As most of your know I am a 9-1-1 dispatcher and I love it. I started out being a volunteer firefighter. While having doing training at the EOC one night I was given a tour of the 9-1-1 dispatch center. I got to sit in with one of my fellow firefighters who was already working as a dispatcher. From that point on I knew I wanted to dispatch. It was amazing. While its not really what it looks like on TV it's still a very interesting job. I decided to write my article Becoming a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I was quite surprised to see how many people was interested in the topic. I am currently working on a piece titled How To Become a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I will post if for you guys as soon as its ready!
Final Goodbyes
Not a day goes by that I don't think of my brother Jason Nowling. He was killed in a horrible motorcycle crash in the early morning hours of July 18, 2002. Losing him was very hard for me and I used writing to help cope with his loss. I found it easier to write what I felt then to speak it. I would have to say that Final Goodbyes is the best poem I have written. I'm not sure if its just because it's a good piece or because it means so much to me. There are times when I pick it up, read it and begin to cry. Its been 5 years but the pain feels like it happened yesterday but the way I miss him, feels like 100 years since I saw him last. I still remember the very last time I saw him. It was around 5pm on Sunday, July 14th, his daughter and I were about to gome home after spending the weekend with him. One of his friends came over and they left to go to town. The last time I saw my brother he was pulling out of the yard in a Red VW Jetta. Never would I have expected it to be the last time. Never given the chance to say our Final Goodbyes.

Ok so this is my first post in my new blog! I thought I should introduce my new blog by telling you a little bit about me! My name is Stephanie, I am 21....will be 22 this month on the 24th! Woo hoo for me! I am married to a wonderful man as of last December!~ I am a true country girl at heart! I love to meet new friends and I love blogging as well as reading other blogs! I have made a career being a 9-1-1 dispatcher and I must say I love it! I am easy to get along with until you cross my bad side! I love 4-wheeling, fishing, singing, writing, hanging out with friends and just being laid back! (ok that doesn't sound right).
